About Chandima Pitigala
Chandima Pitigala, the founder of Cherries Cake Academy is a proud past pupil of Southlands College Galle. Influenced by her mother who was a teacher, she started her career as a professional cake instructor back in 2006 and over the past 15 years she has taught thousands of students the beautiful craft of cake.
Apart from all her qualifications as a culinary instructor, she also holds a diploma in Primary School Teaching from Lyceum Academy for Teacher Education and a diploma in Psychology and Counselling.
As a baker, teacher and a successful entrepreneur, her goal is to provide her students, the young women of Sri Lanka the support, guidance and the skills to eliminate the boundaries and win their lives as independent women.
